Discovering Veneto by bike is an adventure of wellness and of contact with nature. The Venetian Hiking Network offers to cyclists 4 long itineraries (identified with the letter L) and 7 short excursions (identified with the letter E).Each path is adequately reported throughout its course.

What we propose is the first section of the L1 route: Lake Garda – Venice. The stage starts at Bardolino and ends in Verona after about 39 km.

Bardolino is a popular tourist destination on the shores of Lake Garda. The trail begins on its lake shore. From here we head to Albarè along an easy uphill road from which you can admire the lake. Once you reach the country, you continue to pedal through fields of olive trees and not only.
This is in fact the land of Bardolino DOC, excellent red wine.

The route proceeds towards Rivoli Veronese. The road is very wide, easy to ride.
Rivoli is a country rich in history, linked in particular to the famous battle between the Napoleonic and Austrian armies of 1797.

After passing the village of Rivoli, the L1 route continues on a bicycle track immersed in the woods. Just ahead you have to pay attention to the descent of about 1 km with a slope at 10%.
When you get to the bottom, the pedal goes down on the shores of an artificial canal that gives wonderful landscapes.

Continuing along the cycle path you arrive in the historic center of Bussolengo. The country’s main street is full of shops and bars where you can stop. At this point there are only 15 km from the finish line in Verona.

If you want to finish the itinerary L1 arriving to Venice you will have to continue in the direction of Vicenza and the lagoon city.
