Important features of a mountain bike backpack

Those who are dedicated to a sport such as mountain biking need to carry with them some indispensable items. In addition to personal documents and belongings, it is necessary to provide thing useful for any failure, hunger or injury.
Bikers usually do not use bags on the handlebar or under the saddle for both weight and safety issues. The preferred solution is that of the mountain bike backpack.

This type of backpack is generally developed in height and not in depth because it must remain as close as possible to the biker’s back. Usually it has also a small capacity because it is assumed that a mountain biking excursion will only last a few hours. Almost always comes with plenty of pockets to house the tools avoiding the possibility that they’ll move freely inside.

The mountain bike backpacks are equipped with two vertical shoulder straps and two other horizontal straps that hold the backpack to the chest of the cyclist. Often, they also also contain a water bag with a plastic tube secured to the shoulder straps coming to the biker’s mouth.
The water bag eliminates the problem of the bottle, but needs a careful maintenance after each use, especially to be washed.
