Favignana Island by bicycle: Discovering the Egadi

Favignana is the main of the three islands of the Egadi Archipelago, in Sicily. It’s just 7 km from the coast and it’s easy to reach by ferry from Trapani.
On the island are banned motorcycles and quads so, the best way to visit it it’s just the bicycle. As soon as you land it’s easy to find a bicycle shop where you can rent mountain bikes and city bikes.

The perimeter of Favignana is only 33 km long so it’s possible cover all the island in just one day.
Certainly, however, the numerous coves and beaches along the road will force you to stop and enjoy a refreshing bath.

One of the most popular coves is Lido Burrone, a beach frequented by tourists as well as the first encounter descending from the ferry. But be careful, don’t stop here! The island of Favignana hides many other dream scenarios that can be reached by bicycle.

In the proposed path, you always ride near the sea, crossing one by one wonderful beaches.
By bike we also pass near cultivated fields and houses with typical green or blue window. The itinerary, considering the necessary stops, takes at least two days, one for each side of the island.
