Cycle Track Varese Lake

Cycle Track Varese Lake

The Cycle Track Varese Lake makes a perfect ring around the water mirror, keeping always very close to its shore.
The route is about 30 km long and touches all the towns that overlook the lake. Given the limited length and total lack of difficulty, the track is perfect for a bicycle ride with children. It is a wonderful opportunity to spend the day in contact with nature, admiring the reflections of light on the lake.

All the route is well marked by brown signs that also give a precise map of the area. The Cycle Track Varese Lake is perfectly equipped for “slow” travelers who like to lay along the shores of the lake to rest, refresh themselves and enjoy the wonderful mountain view that can be seen in the distance. Every few km there are picnic areas, drinking water fountains and playground for children.

At Cassineta, the track connects to a dirt road leading to the nearby Lake Comabbio. The latter is also surrounded by an easy cycle path that you can face with your family. During summer and weekend, much of the population of Varese heads to the shores of the lake to find peace and relaxation, so the cycle track can be a little crowded. Be careful to ride respecting the others, without making hazardous maneuvers and always at low speeds.
