Slow Travel Fest, the festival of slow travel and outdoor experiences. In a few years it has become one of the most important events for fans of slow tourism.
It is proposed as a widespread festival among the territories of the Via Francigena, a festival in motion to explore these surprising territories as much as possible.
This year the Slow Travel Fest will end in Fucecchio, with Bike & Ride on 18, 19 and 20 October where cycling, street bikes, gravel and MTB will meet to experience the trails between the Francigena and Romea Strata. Then venturing into the woods of Montalbano.
From Friday 18 to Sunday 20 at the Bike & Ride you can attend shows, like the one dedicated to the Bartali champion, meet travelers who tell their travel experiences, listen to good music and enjoy good food at the party in the square.
A cyclomechanical workshop will be held and for the little ones, on Sunday, there will be a circus show on the street; but the focus of this event is the discovery of the territory and what better way to do it than by walking or by bike?
On Saturday and Sunday there will be group rides with routes suitable for all and of different lengths, and on Sundays, you can walk on the Via Francigena on foot and by bike, a simple route for adults and children from Fucecchio to Ponte a Cappiano accompanied from music, refreshments and shows.
