Luserna is one of the most important centers of Alpe Cimbra, a small mountain village set at about 1,333 meters high. From the village there are numerous mountain biking trails that develop in the woods and meadows that surround the country.
The proposed 12 km long itinerary is particularly intense from a landscape and environmental point of view. You will pedal through spruce woods, on high peaks and grassy hills that dominate endless pastures.
Along the way, the hand of the man is barely noticeable. Starting from the village, the dirt road leads uphill to Neff’s Bait Bike Chalets. Then you continue on well-drilled dirt roads leading into vast meadows and high alpine highlands.
Then you arrive at one of the main fortresses of the Trentino, the Fort of Luserna, which dominates the whole landscape of the country. The fort certainly deserves a visit since it was the largest in the area and was beautifully retrieved.
After crossing the fort, the route starts downhill and returns to the historic center of Luserna. The town has a long tradition of culinary excellence: to try the Kaiserschmarren, large crêpes served with blueberry jam, Vezzana cheese and mountain honey.
