Lake Garda is a varied territory, ideal to exploring on bicycle.
In the vicinity of the lake there are numerous paths for mountain biking and scenic roads on which ride on a racing bike.
There are, obviously, more or less difficult climbs that you must not fear, but appreciating every footstep.
The route described here is to be carried out in racing bikes or with a strong tourism bicycle. The itinerary winds for about 80 km along the Venetian shores of Lake Garda through small villages overlooking the lake.
You start from Peschiera del Garda, one of the most famous and most touristy towns in the area, very popular in the summer, frequent by sportsmen and holidaymakers.
Once cross the city center you head to the historic village of Lazise, an ancient settlement known as a fortified citadel of free trade.
The road doesn’t have any particular difficulty, but on weekends it can be very popular with local cyclists.
After passing Lazise you will encounter a first climb and a subsequent descent leading up to Bardolino, a country renowned for excellent wine and oil production. After leaving the village begins a long stretch of slight slope that leads first to Garda and then to Punta San Virgilio. The latter offers a magnificent panoramic view of Lake Garda, which deserves at least a stopover and a photo.
The trail continues to Torri del Benaco along a downhill road from which you can still admire beautiful views of the territory. At the entrance of the village you turn right and take a climb, about 11 km with an average slope of 5%. The road is narrow so it’s advisable to proceed to the margins of the roadway, paying attention to passing cars.

The effort ends at Lumini, the destination of the bike tour.
The return route towards Peschiera del Garda, consider a long and technical descent which takes you to the slopes of Monte Baldo. From here you continue along the road to the small village of Affi, then towards Cavaion Veronese and then Bardolino. Once back on the lakeside you go back to Peschiera.
